How much poster paper do I need? One 24″ roll of our Coated Poster Paper produces approximately 40 full-size school posters — enough for most classrooms for the better part of a year. To estimate your needs, just divide your poster goal by 40 and round up. Planning 300 posters? You’ll want about 8 rolls. Need a hand sizing your order? What poster printer supplies does a school actually need? Paper, HP ink, and laminate. Start with coated paper for everyday classroom posters, a full CMYK ink set, and cold laminate if you want hallway signs to last the year. We match supplies to 24″ and 36″ Education Graphics machines and take school POs.
Coated vs bond vs photo paper? Coated is the everyday school roll: color pops, about 40 posters per 24″ × 100′ roll. Bond is the budget option for drafts and worksheets. Photo gloss or satin is for awards, sports banners, and anything that needs to look printed, not plotted.
Do I have to use genuine HP ink? Yes for these machines. Third-party cartridges clog printheads and can void support. Black is 80ml ($68.50); cyan, magenta, and yellow are 29ml ($58.50). The 4-pack is $225.
